+ Read MoreWelcome to RHA! The Residence Hall Association is a student-led organization dedicated
to bringing high-quality programming to the residents of the University of Dallas.
Programs and activities range in variety from social to educational to recreational
in order to strengthen the resident hall community and provide an overall healthier
and more enjoyable living environment.
WHO?
Each hall elects two representatives per floor every year to direct its specific events. These representatives meet every week with their appointed interns and professional staff advisor. Each meeting is led by the three interns and advisor as they assist in planning a multitude of events per semester.
WHAT?
RHA requires that its representatives have energy, responsibility, and perception in order to provide satisfactory programs that correspond to the interests of their halls. During their term, all RHA representatives must attend the weekly RHA meetings. Using RHA funds, they must plan and execute at least two side of campus events and three events for their respective halls. All job descriptions and responsibilities are outlined in the RHA Constitution.
WHY?
What do you get out of this? It is an opportunity to meet or become better acquainted with all campus residents. Second, it is giving you the best kind of leadership experience, because it is entirely hands-on. You will learn how to network, and to work with many offices within UD through becoming acquainted with the "logistical" side of the university. Third, you will help foster and strengthen the interaction between your studies and real life through fostering student, staff, and faculty interaction. Finally, you will get out of it what you put into it. It's up to you. Good luck for a successful semester!
